access cover with the Tachometer drive. The
Tachometer drive MUST project 15.2 + 0.8 mm
(0.60 + 0.03 in.) from the rear face of the access
cover. (Engines equipped with UTDS* Model
100 Fuel Injection Pump.)
NOTE: Be sure to engage the tang of the
Tachometer drive with the slot in the Tachometer
drive gear for engines equipped with UTDS* Model
100 Fuel Injection pump. For engines equipped with
Robert Bosch Model MW Fuel Injection Pump,
engage the tang of the Tachometer drive with the
slot in the end of the injection pump camshaft.
Install a new crankshaft front oil seal into the
lubricating oil pump housing as follows:
Press a new oil seal (1, Fig. 29) into the oil
pump body (2). Observe the 50.8 mm (2.0
in.) dimension, as shown.
