CAUTION
To prevent damage to valves, DO NOT turn them too far.
NOTE
Steps 1 and 8 apply only to those carburetors equipped with a needle valve.
Turn needle valve until it just closes. Turn needle valve 1–1/2 turns to left.
Turn idle valve until it just closes. Turn idle valve 1–1/2 turns to left.
Start and warm up engine (para 2-6a).
Place speed control lever in idle position.
Hold throttle lever against idle stop.
Turn idle valve slowly to right until engine misses or speed drops. Turn idle valve 1/2 turn to left.
Place speed control lever in fast position.
Turn needle valve slowly to right until engine misses or speed drops. Turn needle valve 1/2 turn to left.
