As part of the end item, these items must be with the enditem whenever it is issued or transferred between property accounts, Illustrations are furnished to as-sist you in identifying the items.SectionIII.BasicIssueItems. These are the minimum essential items required to place the 40K WaterDistribution System in operation, to operate it, and to perform emergency repairs. Although shippedseparately packaged, BII must be with the distribution system during operation and whenever it istransferred between property accounts. The illustrations will assist you with hard-to-identify items. Thismanual is your authority to request/requisition replacement BII, based on TOE/MTOE authorizationof the end item.EXPLANATIONOFCOLUMNS.The following provides an explanation of columns found in the tabular listing:a.b.c.d.e.Column (1) Illustration Number(IllusNumber).This column indicates the number of the illustrationin which the item is shown.Column(2)-NationalStockNumber. Indicates the national stock number assigned to the item andwill be used for requisitioning purposes.Column (3) - Description. Indicates the Federal item and name and, if required, a minimum descriptionto identify and locate the item. The last line for each item indicates the CAGE (in parentheses) followedby the part number.Column (4) - Unit of Measure (U/M). Indicates the measure used in performing the actual operational/maintenance function. This measure is expressed by a two-character alphabetical abbreviation (e.g.,ea, in, pr).Column (5) Quantity required (Qty rqd). Indicates the quantity of the item authorized to be used with/on the equipment.C-1
