LOWER FUEL TANK, ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP
5.
Connect tube (5), hose (6), and fuel level sender
wires to the top of the tank.
6.
Remove (bleed) the air from the system.
7.
Install the rear cover assembly. Make reference
to INSTALL EJECTOR CYLINDER in VEHICLE
SYSTEMS DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY.
REMOVE ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP
1.
Remove the back-up alarm and cover from the
water distributor as a unit. The weight of the
unit is 135 lb. (61 kg).
2.
Remove bolt (1) and ground wire. Disconnect
fuse terminal (2).
3.
Loosen screw (4) enough to remove pump (3).
4.
Disconnect lines (5) and (6) from the pump.
NOTE: Put a plug in line (6).
5.
Remove the pump from bracket (7).
