Remove the purge valve assembly (28).
36.
Put a large screw driver in the slot (29) to hold the
purge valve piston (30) from turning.
37.
Loosen the bolt (33).
38.
Remove the bolt (33), purge valve (32), purge
valve piston (30) and spring (31).
39.
Remove O-ring seals (35) from cap nut (34).
40.
Remove O-ring (36) from purge valve piston (30).
41.
Put some of the lubricant from the repair kit on a
new purge valve (32), new seals (35) and a new
seal (36).
42.
Put the new seals (35) on cap nut (34) and a new
seal (36) on purge valve piston (30).
43.
Assemble the purge valve piston (30), new spring
(31) and new purge valve (32) in cap nut (34).
Install lockwasher (37) and bolt (33). Tighten the
bolt to a torque of 50 lb. in. (5.7 N•m).
