TM 5-3895-370-14&P 4-50. EXHAUST OUTLET PIPE REPLACEMENT. This task covers: a. Removal b. Installation INITIAL SETUP Tools Equipment Condition Tool kit, general mechanic's: automotive TM or Para Condition Description Para 4-49 Resonator and muffler Wrench, torque removed. Para 3-6 Rear engine panel Materials/Parts removed. Gasket, outlet tube General Safety Instructions If engine has previously been in operation, allow time for cooling before performing procedure. a. Removal. Remove four screws (1), tube (2), and gasket (3) from exhaust manifold (4). Discard gasket. b. Installation. Install gasket (3), tube (2), and four screws (1). Tighten screws 24 lb-ft (33 Nm). NOTE Follow-on maintenance: Install rear engine panel (para 3-6). Install resonator and muffler (para 4-49). END OF TASK 4-127
