All life vest and lifesaving equipment must
be inspected and certified by the United
States Coast Guard (USCG) not less than
once every 12 months. Immediately correct
or dispose of equipment not passing inspec-
tion. Replace life rafts and contents and
obtain new USCG certification every 5 years.
