WARNING: The rope sling may not be at the centre of gravity of the rotor, and
guidance at the ends of the rotor is essential.
As the rotor is fully withdrawn from the stator core, THE FULL
WEIGHT OF THE ROTOR MUST BE SUPPORTED BY THE CRANE. If
the core is allowed to drop more than 6 mm at this point, it will make
contact with the stator windings, and may damage them.
Re-Assembly
