Coolant leaks can normally be temporarily repaired with heavy duty adhesive tape, hose and clamps. If a serious oil leak occurs, shut down the engine immediately and try to find the cause. Oil leaks are a lot harder to repairtemporarily because of the pressure involved. However, if the main flow can be stopped to a drip or dribble, place a canunderneath the leak and replenish the engine with new oil (from a spare oil can) at the same rate as the loss.Drip trays of metal or glass fiber should be used beneath the engine to stop lubricating oil or fuel oil dripping into thebilges. Care must be taken to avoid galvanic action between the drip tray and engine (e.g., a copper tray should not beused under an aluminum alloy oil pan). Remember to keep the drip tray clean because this provides an early indication ofleaks.OPERATING PARAMETERSMaximum Engine Compartment Temperature (all engines): 140°F (60ºC)Maximum Battery Compartment Temperature (all engines): 122°F (50º)Volume of Air Required Per EngineVOL.4.1084.154M4.236M6.354MT6.354MT6.354MGTV8.510MTV8.510Mft3/MIN105110157250300406365550M3/MIN33.14.4578.5 11.510.515.5Maximum Exhaust Back Pressure (measured within 12 inches/305mm of engine manifold)Press.4.108M4.154M4.236M6.354MT6.354MT6.354MGTV8.510TV8.510in.
