TM 10-4610-243-13Section III. OPERATOR MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES3-4.COMPONENT REPLACEMENTRemoval of defective components from the assembled water system is accomplished by disconnecting the couplings atboth ends of the component and removing the defective item. Installation of replacement components is performed bypositioning the new component in the water system and connecting the couplings at both ends of the componentThis task consists of:a. Removalb. InstallationINITIAL SET-UP;General Safety Instructions:Equipment Condition:Water system shutdown (para. 2-12d)WARNINGTo prevent injury to personnel, all water pumpsmust be shutdown and water pressure relievedfrom discharge hoses before disconnectingcouplings.
