Loaded Fuel Filled Drums On 5-Ton (4.5 Metric Ton) TruckNOTEBe certain the brackets are locatedunder the tailgate step.(n) Hook a side bracket on each side of thecargo compartment, and secure them to the truckwith the bracket screws.(o) Pass the rear chain assembly hookthrough the towing pintle, and secure the hook tothe chain of the rear chain assembly.(p) Pass the free end of the rear chainassembly through the two loops on the rearbracket.(q) Connect the lap link, located on the freeend of the rear chain assembly, to the free shackleon the third drum.(r) Install a loadassembly between the4-6binder on the rear chainthird drum and the rearbracket to remove the slack in the rear chainassembly.(s) Secure the opposite end of the third drum to the cargo truck by following the procedures in(o) thru (r) above.(2) Loading Filled Drums Onto the 2-1/2 Ton(2.3 Metric Ton) Truck.NOTEOnly two intermediate chain assembliesare used when loading the drums on thistruck.(a) Clean all foreign objects from the cargocompartment of the cargo truck.(b) Attach the towing and lifting yoke to onedrum by following the procedures in a(1) thru (4)above.
