s. Thread the studs (2), washers (3) and nuts (4) into the shaft end cover (13) and tighten alternately or cross-
corner. Rotate the drive shaft with a 6" wrench to make certain there is not binding in the pump.
t. Guide the outboard bearing (19) into its recess in the shaft end cover (13). This is not a press fit. Insert the
snap ring (18) into its groove to retain the outboard bearing.
u. After the fasteners are tight and you are sure there is no internal binding, torque the diagonally opposite nuts (1)
to 200 ft. lbs. (2400 in. lbs.).
