Connect remaining end of cable to welding generator engine block at least 18 inches (457 mm) from
battery (do not connect to welding generator case, frame, or equipment grounding terminal as damage
to equipment can result).

Wait at least one minute after connecting cables before starting engine.
f.
Start engine following procedures outlined in Section 6 (Sequence Of Operation) of this manual and
allow engine to return to idle speed. If the unit does not start after cranking for thirty seconds, stop the
jump starting procedure. More than thirty seconds seldom starts the engine unless some mechanical
adjustment is made.
g.
Remove jumper cable from engine block.
h.
Remove other end of same cable from booster battery negative (-) terminal.
i.
Remove other jumper cable from welding generator battery positive (+) terminal.
j.
Remove remaining end of cable from booster battery positive (+) terminal.
k.
Discard damp cloths.
