AIR BRAKES - GENERAL INFORMATION 6x4 Truck (Figure 9) Primary service system is at the front axle and forward rear axle service brakes, secondary service system is at the rear rear axle service brakes. Like the 4x2 truck, an inversion valve is used to apply the park brake at the rear axle along with the secondary service brakes if air loss occurs in the primary system.
