AIR BRAKES - GENERAL INFORMATION 6x4 Tractor With Steel Spring Suspension (Figures 11 and 12) Figure 11 illustrates a tractor with a modular control valve for spring brake and tractor protection controls, while Figure 12 illustrates a tractor with separate spring brake and tractor protection controls. Primary service system is at the front axle and the rear rear axle brakes ,secondary service system is at the forward rear axle. The trailer service brakes will assist either the primary or secondary systems.
