STOPPING THE ENGINE
A spring loaded "stop control" push button switch (electric) is located on or near the instrument panel. This switch, in
conjunction with a solenoid on the injection pump, functions to stop the flow of fuel to the injection pump.
To stop the engine, press the button until the engine stops running, release, turn the key to the "off" position and place the
engine speed control in the minimum speed position.
Some boats may have a mechanical spring loaded pull-to-stop control instead of an electric push button. To stop an
engine having this type of control, pull the knob and hold until engine rotation ceases. Upon releasing the knob, ensure it
returns to its normal position (i.e., the "run" position) so that the engine may be re-started without difficulty.
