STARTER REPAIR (CONT)
a. Disassembly
To prevent damage to starter, DO NOT clamp motor shell in a vise or strike
with hammer.
1 Clamp starter drive cap in a vise.
2 Pry plastic cap from starter.
3 Drive roll pin from armature shaft.
4 Pry off retainer. Remove return spring.
