LIQUID HAS UNUSUAL ODORThe drum is authorized to be filled onlywith drinking water.Use of the drum forany other liquid may cause sickness ordeath of crewmembers.If it has been determined during PMCS (Table 2-1) that the drum has beenused with any liquid other than drinking water, or if it is suspected thatthe drinking water may be contaminated, empty contents of drum andnotify next higher level of maintenance.2. DRINKING WATER IS LEAKING FROM OR AROUND COUPLER VALVEStep 1.Locate source of coupler valve leak.a. Water leaks from coupler valve-to-adapter assembly connection.1.2.3.4.Make sure coupler valve (1) is properly locked and installed in place.If leakage continues, remove coupler valve from adapter assembly. Ifwater is leaking from adapter assembly, replace adapter assembly.If adapter assembly is not leaking, replace gasket (3) on coupler valve (1),Reinstall coupler valve onto adapter assembly (2).If leakage continues, replace coupler valve (1) and send leaking couplervalve to next higher level of maintenance.4-7
