This will cause fuse or solenoidto burn out.A suitable slow blow fuse is marketed by Little Fuseand is identified as 313 3AG 8A Slo-Blo.7.Lift shutoff lever and screw adjusting rod thread intorod end until shutoff lever just stops its downwardmovement.8.Turn adjusting rod upper end Two Full Turns inopposite direction (raising shutoff lever) and tightenlocknut against upper rod end.9.De-energize solenoid.Assembly and adjusting steps 1 through 8 willensure that solenoid plunger will be fully seated atbottom of stroke and Internal injection pump shutofflever will not contact internal housing stop tab norinterfere with injection pump fuel rack during "excessfuel" starting conditions. Shutoff stop screw hasbeen Factory Preset limiting solenoid plunger totaltravel to approximately 1.000 inch from bottom ofstroke (run position) to end of stroke (shutoffposition).Do not adjust shutoff lever stop screw. If stop screwposition is changed, injection pump must beremoved and stop screw position set on the testbench. When stop screw is improperly adjusted,control rack may not move sufficiently to stop fueldelivery or may damage internal injection’ pump rackstop.10. Cycle solenoid 34 times to assure proper operation.After cycling solenoid, make sure solenoid rubberboot is properly seated.
