After removing old priming pump,place Loctite hydraulic sealant on pump threads andinstall new pump with new copper washer.ALWAYS TIGHTED HAND PRIMING PUMP HANDLEAFTER USE. Remove theseparts, fuel inlet and oil outlet fittings and hand primingpump to remove old pump. Install new supply pumphousing mounting gasket when installing new pump.The supply pump will be easier to install if engine isrotated so injection pump camshaft eccentric is in lowestposition.Figure 31. - Replacing Fuel Supply PumpREPLACING LUBRICATING OIL FITTINGSLubricating oil enters the pump from an external oil linewhich originates at a crankcase fitting just above the fuelfilters.
