S-SERIES AIR CONDITIONING -- HEATER SYSTEMInstallation1.Position heater core in heater housing makingsure front, top and bottom seals are in position.2.Install four screws attaching heater core toheater housing.3.Install two screws attaching heater core pipes todash panel.4.Install heater hoses on heater core pipes andtighten hose clamps.5.Refill engine cooling system.6.Set heater (HTR) control lever at HOT. Operateengine. Check for coolant leaks and coolantflow through heater core.7.Install covers in heater unit housing andinstrument panel.8.Lower hood and fender assembly.HOT WATER FLOW CONTROL VALVERefer to Figures 22 and 23.1.Raise hood and fender assembly.2.Drain engine cooling system.3.Remove cover from right side of instrumentpanel.4.Remove cover from blend-air unit.5.Remove heater core as outlined in this Section.6.Remove control cable mounting screw frommounting bracket (Figure 22). Disconnectcontrol cable from blend-air door.7.Loosen hose clamp and disconnect inlet hose(located under blend-air unit housing) from neckof flow control valve.CTS-4066APage 14
