Installation.
(1)
Install battery cable (3) on starter (5). Secure with nut and washer (4).
(2)
Install battery cable (2) and cable (6) on engine. Secure with bolt and washer (1).
(3)
Refer to para. 4-22 and connect cables to battery.
(4)
Spray cable connections with ignition insulation compound.

Electrical shock hazard exists. Disconnect battery cables (para. 4-22).

Removal.
(1)
At the rear of the tank remove cable grip (6) from elbow (4). Pull wires out through elbow and disconnect
wires from indicator switch (2).
(2)
Turn indicator plug (5) counterclockwise and remove plug and indicator switch (2) from tank.
(3)
Remove indicator switch (2) from bushing (3). Remove elbows (4) and bushing (3) from plug (5).
