Tag fuel lines with cylinder numbers to aid in correct installation. Tag fuel lines as follows:
Fuel Line (1) - No. 1 Cylinder
Fuel Line (2) - No. 2 Cylinder
Fuel Line (3) - No. 3 Cylinder
Fuel Line (4) - No. 4 Cylinder

Disconnect fuel lines (1, 2, 3 and 4) from fuel injectors (7) and fuel injection pump (8). Cap fuel
injectors and fuel pump outlets.
(e)
Remove fuel lines (1, 2, 3 and 4) as an assembly. Remove nuts and screws. Use care to
prevent denting or bending fuel lines.
(2)
Installation.
(a)
Remove caps from fuel injectors (7) and fuel injection pump (8). Connect fuel lines (1, 2, 3 and 4) to
fuel injection pump (8) and fuel injector (7). Tighten fuel line nuts to a torque of 18 lb-ft (24 Nm)
(wet).
(b)
Refer to para. 4-54 and install throttle control on engine.
(c)
Refer to para. 4-22 and connect battery cables.
(d)
Refer to para. 4-53 and prime fuel system.
