Oil, engine lubricating (item 31, Appendix E)

Removal.
WARNING
Prolonged contact with lubricating oil, MIL-L-2104, may cause a skin rash. Skin
and clothing that come in contact with lubricating oil should be thoroughly washed
immediately. Saturated clothing should be removed immediately. Areas in which
lubricating oil is used should be well ventilated to keep fumes to a minimum.
NOTE
·
Place suitable container with a 10 qt (9.51) capacity under drain plug prior to
start of procedure.

Engine oil filter should be changed with engine oil. This will reduce engine
wear and tear and service time. See para 4-31.
·
Warm oil before starting procedure. Let engine idle for 5 minutes.
