TM 5-3895-370-14&P 4-69. PANEL INSTRUMENT REPLACEMENT. This task covers: a. Removal b. Installation INITIAL SETUP Tools Materials/Parts Tool kit, general mechanic's: automotive Tags, identification (item 52, Appendix E) Rags, wiping (item 47, Appendix E) Shop equipment, automotive maintenance and Starwashers (2) repair: organizational maintenance supplemental Lockwashers (7) no. 1, less power Isolators (8) Shop equipment, automotive maintenance and Equipment Condition repair: organizational maintenance common TM or Para Condition Description no. 1, less power Para 4-68 Gage panel removed. a. Removal. NOTE · Tag and mark wires before removal. · Cut cable ties as necessary. (1) Remove tachometer as follows: (a) Disconnect two wires (1 and 2) from lamp socket (3). (b) Disconnect resistor (4) from lamp socket (3). (c) Disconnect three wire connector (5) from resistor (4). 4-166
