20.
FIXED-SPEED PUMP DOES NOT OPERATE.
Step 1. Inspect filter in hydraulic tank.
If filter is clogged, clean or replace filter (para 4-144).
If filter is not clogged, go to step 2.
Step 2. Inspect hydraulic filter on feed line to fixed-speed pump.
If filter is clogged, clean or replace filter (para 4-137).
If filter is not clogged, go to step 3.
WARNING
Hydraulic fluid is very slippery and can cause falls. To avoid injury, wipe up
spilled fluid with rags.
Step 3. Check return hose from hydraulic tank to hydraulic fixed-speed pump.
If hose is crimped, damaged, or leaking, replace hose (para 4-136).
If hose is not crimped, damaged, or leaking, replace or repair pump (para 5-38).
21.
HYDRAULIC FLUID TEMPERATURE IS TOO HIGH.
Step 1. Inspect output and input hoses to hydraulic cooler.
If hoses are crimped, damaged, or leaking, replace hose(s) (para 4-136).
If hoses are not crimped, damaged, or leaking, go to step 2.
Step 2. Check hydraulic fluid cooler output pressure.
If output pressure is below 1700 to 1800 psi (11721 - 12410 kPa), replace hydraulic fluid
cooler (para 4-139).
If output pressure is 1700 to 1800 psi (11721 - 12410 kPa), go to step 3.
