With engine cylinder assembly upside down, install engine base gasket and engine base.

Install four engine base mounting bolts and flatwashers.

Turn engine cylinder assembly upright.
Install keyway to power takeoff journal on crankshaft
Slide timing gear onto power takeoff journal.
Tap timing gear gently until it fully seats.
Install flywheel key and power takeoff key on crankshaft.
Install crankshaft in engine cylinder assembly.
