There are two bushings in eachterminal hole (See Figure 9).12.Remove two screws, lockwashers,guardwashers and insulating washers whichretain lower end of heat sinks. Remove heatsinks. Note location of insulating washers andbushings (See Figure 10).Figure 10 - Heat Sink Mountings.13.Pry flanged dust cap out of housing (See Figure11).NOTE - Alternators equipped with a "closed"slip ring end bearing are not equipped with adust cap.14.Slip ring end bearing replacement should seldombe required.
