GLADHANDS (AIR COUPLINGS) (cont)
a.
Removal.
Unscrew gladhand (1) from clamping stud (2).
b.
Installation
(1)
Apply pipe sealant to clamping stud.
(2)
Screw gladhand (1) on clamping stud (2).
(3)
Close drain valves on both air reservoirs.
(4)
Pressurize air system.
(5)
Check for leakage as follows:
(a)
Coat gladhand and connection with
soapsuds. No leakage is permitted.
(b)
Replace
any
leaking
gladhand
or
connection.
