SWICHGAGES are availablevarious sizes and shapes to adapt to most applications, fortemperature, pressure, liquid level, vibration, or speed. Theare dry contact type switches for light duty electrical switch andshould be used with a Murphy Magnetic Switch or TransformerRelay. Both electrical and mechanical experience necessaryfor proper installation and care.Temperature SWICHGAGE operate on the same mechanicprincipal as pressure SWICHGAGESâ . Expansion of sendingfluid in the bulb, as temperature increases, translates intopressure on the diaphragm, forcing the pointer to readcalibrated; closure with the limit contact initiates alarm and/orshut-down.TYPICAL TATTLETALE MAGNETIC SWITCH'"'TATTLETALE Magnetic SwitchesMurphy manufactures several, patented magnetic switches forprotection of the light duty SWICHGAGE contacts and toensure positive shut-down of equipment. There are magneticswitches for Capacitor Discharge Ignition. Magneto, or batterysystems, and models for electric motor driven equipment.TATTLETALES are pop-out indicators that show the cause ofshut-down. If several TATTLETALES are used in conjunctionwith several different SWICHGAGE, the first one out willlockout all other magnetic switches. Be sure the type ofMagnetic Switch matches the power source used to trip it.· Note: At equipment start-up, themagnetic switch reset button must beheld in until normal operation occurs,unless closed SWICHGAGESâ are lockedout by time delay or lockout button.
