TIMING CASE AND DRIVE - K84.Nos. 1 and 4 pistons will now be at T.D.C. if thetiming has been correctly set.NOTE: No adjustment is provided for valvetiming, should the timing be incorrect andthe camshaft gear has been correctly fittedto the camshaft hub, the error will probablybe due to incorrect alignment of the originaltiming marks on the drive gears. Recheck asdetailed on Page K.2.When valve timing is originally set andchecked during production a timingtolerance of plus or minus 2-1/2 (flywheel)degrees is allowed for item (4) above. Whenthe timing has been correctly set, do notforget to reset No. 1 inlet valve clearance tothe correct figure also to return the timingpin to its correct location if it has been usedto check T.D.C.
