Section IV. UNIT TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURES
4-9. INTRODUCTION.
a.
This section contains troubleshooting information for location and correcting most of the operating
troubles which may develop in the FAWPSS. Each malfunction for an individual component, unit. or system
is by a list of tests or inspection which will help you to determine corrective actions to take. You
should perform the test/inspections and corrective actions in the order listed.
b. This manual cannot list all malfunctions that may occur, nor tests or inspections and corrective
actions. If a malfunction is not listed, or is not corrected by listed corrective actions, notify your supervisor.

Table 4-1 lists the common malfunctions which you may find during the operation or maintenance of
the FAWPSS or its components. You should pa-form the tcsts/inspections and corrective actions in the order
listed.
4-10. UNIT TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURES TABLE. Refer to Table 4-1 for the authorized unit
troubleshooting procedures for the FAWPSS.
NOTE
Before you use this table. be sure all applicable operating checks have been
preformed.
NOTE
Unit troubleshooting procedures for the pump and engine assembly and collapsible
storage drums are contained in the technical manual for those components.
