Refer toLUBRICATION section Brakes for type oflubricant.2.Install camshaft assembly. Make surespacer washers are reassembled in samerelative position from which they wereremoved.3.Assemble the brake shoe rollers to theshoes, if equipped with retainers.4.Assemble guide pin washers and positionshoes over anchor pins and guide pins.5.Assemble anchor pin washers and guidepin washers.6.Install guide pin "C" washers and anchorpin retainer rings.7.Install brake shoe return springs.8.Pull each shoe back and insert rollers.Installing rollers after shoe return springsare installed requires less effort thaninstalling brake shoe return springs afterthe rollers are in place. However, if therollers have retainers they must beassembled to shoes as stated in step 3.9.Reassemble slack adjusters on camshaftaligning scribe marks and positioningspacer washers in reverse sequence whenadjuster was removed.a.Use spacer washers to provide amaximum end play of 1.59 mn (.062")with adjuster ring installed.b.Adjuster screw may be either facingtoward or away from brake chambermounting flange to provideaccessibility.
