When theyare assembled to the shaft in different planes, they areout of phase. To obtain vibration free operation, checkthe following.1.Yokes or flanges between the main and auxiliarytransmission must be "In Phase".2.In the case of a two-piece driveshaft assembly,between the transmission (Main orAuxiliary) and the forward rear axle, thejoints on this shaft should be assembled "InPhase", unless otherwise specified by themanufacturer of the vehicle.3.The inter-axle driveshaft yokes must be "InPhase".4.If a vehicle has driveshafts that do not haveintersecting angles but parallel anglesthroughout the drive line system, the yokesor flanges must be held parallel to within 1deg. of each other.CTS-4017 - Page 21PRINTED IN UNITED STATES OF AMERICASERVICE MANUAL
