NOTE
Hold
adjoining
gears
to
obtain
correct backlash measurement.
(1)
Measure oil pump gear (1) backlash at position
A. Normal measurement is 0.003 to 0.013 in.
(0.076-0.330 mm). If above or below normal
measurement, replace oil pump.
(2)
Measure idler gear (2) backlash at position B.
Normal measurement is 0.003 to 0.013 in.
(0.0760.330 mm). If above or below normal
measurement, replace oil pump.
