TM 5-5430-211-13 & PSECTION VII PREPARATION FOR STORAGE OR SHIPMENT3-20 EMPTYING THE TANK1Pump the tank as dry as possible.2Open the Drain Valve until water stops flowing.3Lift the four corners of the tank in turn.4Pump the tank as dry as possible.5Close the Drain Valve.CAUTIONDO NOT WALK UNNECESSARILY ON THE TANKThe fabric of the tank may cut or abrade. Walk on the tankwearing soft soled shoes, which have been wiped clean ofall abrasive materials.3-21 DISASSEMBLY OF FITTINGS1Disconnect the hoses from the tank.2Remove both elbows from the tank and pack them in soft packing (retained in crate when unpacking).Secure the packing with adhesive tape.3Remove the relief cap, 2 inch pipe and coupling half from the vent assembly. Pack them in soft packing andsecure the packing with adhesive tape.4Place the dust caps on the filler coupling and the vent coupling. Pack them with soft packing and secure thepacking with adhesive tape.3-67
