Teleflex cannot acceptresponsibility for Installations where instructions havenot been followed, where substitute parts have beenused, or where modifications have been made to ourproducts.Before attempting installation, ensure that the splashwellof your boat has the following minimum motor welldimensions.MINIMUM MOTOR WELL DIMENSIONSNOTE TRANSOM WALL THICKNESS MUST NOTEXCEED 2 3/8"CAUTIONS:Use only SEASTAR hydraulic hose supplied in kit form.Hoses are ordered to length for your particularinstallation. Substitute hoses or tubing will affect safetyand performance.Use only SEASTAR outboard hydraulic fluid or Texacoaircraft oil HO-15.Lightly lubricate all bolts, nuts, and threaded parts priorto usage.Also, lubricate all moving parts with good quality marinegrease.Do not remove protective caps from helm pump,cylinder, and hose fittings until connection of hose tohelm pump and cylinder is called for in the instructions.Contamination introduced into the steering system maycause steering malfunction. Cleanliness is of utmostimportance.For twin-engine applications, a SEASTAR Outboard tie-bar kit is required. Do not attempt to substitute other tiebars.Then follow the illustrated installation steps in order.
