Sheet metal drill bits should beused. These are drill bits, the ends of which have beenground for this special purpose. An example of a sheetmetal drill bit as compared to a regular drill bit is shownin Fig. 37. When spot welds have been removed, apneumatic chisel is then used to open seams which havebeen clinched together.Fig. 37. Remove trim strip between cornerpanel and inner roof panel and drill out spotwelds (Fig. 37) around panel. Separate cornerpanel from back panel, inner roof panel and sidepanel assembly.2.Separate inside panel of side panel assemblyfrom sill side inner panel. Free inside panel ofside panel assembly by cutting through MIGweld (Fig. 38) at bottom of panel. (On 80" widecabs remove spot weld used at cowl side innerpanel).3.Drill out spot welds along drip moulding fromfront to rear and around corner to end of sidepanel.
