SERVICE MANUALCAB DOOR ADJUSTMENTGetting a good cab door to door opening fitrequires a knowledge of where the various adjustmentsare located and what effect each adjustment has on doorfit. These adjustments apply whether door has beenremoved or door adjustment is simply being changed orimproved.Fig. 27. Location for Door Adjustments at Hinge Pillar1.Hinge Pillar2.Access to Hinge Mounting3.Enlarged Mounting Holes for DoorAdjustment1.ADJUSTMENT AT HINGE PILLAR (FIG. 27)a.Fore and aft door adjustment is made atenlarged holes in door half of hinge.b.Up and down or in and out door adjustmentis made at enlarged holes in pillar half ofhinge.c.With mounting bolts slightly loosened, onehinge at a time, adjust door to fit evenly indoor opening and snug against door seal.Tighten mounting bolts to specified torque(see Torque Chart).2.ADJUSTMENT AT LOCK PILLAR (FIG. 26)a.Door striker pin or stud is mounted in anenlarged hole in lock pillar. Loosen pin tomove pin up or down and in or out asrequired.b.Fore and aft adjustment is by spacer shimbetween striker pin and pillar.c.Make final adjustment of striker pin andtighten to specifications (See Torque Chart)When adjusted (1) door weatherseal shouldcontact door frame all around with slight pressure butwithout damage to seal (2) door should latch, lock andrelease without undue effort, and (3) door should berattle free when vehicle is in motion.DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEATSSeat types available with S-Series cabs aredetermined by cab width and by the kind of equipment(engine, transmission, auxiliary, etc.) furnished with thetruck. Full width bench seat and individual driver andpassenger seats are available in the 200 cm (80 inch)wide cab. Individual driver and passenger seats only areavailable in the 230 cm (90 inch) wide cab.
