The procedure is thesame for all rocker arms.(1)Remove two retaining rings (1), washers (2),and rocker arms (3) from arm support (4).(2)Remove two nuts (5) and pushrod adjustingscrews (6).(3)If damaged, remove expansion plug (7) fromarm support (4).c. Cleaning/Inspection.WARNINGCompressed air used for cleaningpurposes will not exceed 30 psi (207kPa). Use only with effective chipguarding and personal protectiveequipment (goggles/shield, gloves,etc).(1)Clean all parts of rocker arm assembly in strongdetergent and hot water. Rinse in clean hotwater and use compressed air to dry all parts.(2)Check rocker arm for cracks, excessive wear,and other damage. Replace all rocker armsfailing inspection.(3)Measure rocker arm bore as indicated. Normalmeasurement is 0.7480 to 0.7500 in. (18.9992-19.05 mm). If above or below normalmeasurement, replace rocker arm.5-51
